Built for the exam hall, not the demo room

openCBT is designed around what actually goes wrong on exam day: the network, the power and the people.

No internet needed to sit
Papers are sat on your own server, in your own hall. Nothing depends on the internet while candidates write.
Power cuts cost minutes, not scripts
Answers are saved to the server as candidates write. When power returns, everyone resumes where they left off.
Invigilate from one page
See who has started, who is online and how much time is left. Grant extra time or end a paper early, and every action is recorded.
Integrity built in
Leaving the exam screen is flagged. Repeat offenders are blocked until an invigilator decides, with the clock paused meanwhile.
Results in seconds
Objective questions mark themselves when a paper closes. Export course results and answer sheets as spreadsheets or PDFs.
Mark from home, if you want
An optional cloud companion lets lecturers write papers and mark essays from home. Nothing moves until you press a button.

Choose where openCBT runs. Every package includes setup and the guide for whoever looks after the server.
